Windows of the Earth Cave Sanctuary
Return to your point of origin by entering one of the most stunning and transformative spaces within Mother Earth herself.
World-renowned “cave digger” Ra Paulette has created a one-of-a-kind art-lined chamber bored into the center of a sandstone butte that towers majestically above the high desert floor near Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. Ra’s work has been detailed in the Academy Award-nominated documentary, “Cavedigger.”BOOK NOW for SPRING 2017
Experiencing this artistic marvel will re-acquaint you with your true self and elicit a deep sense of connectedness. Notice how you feel more grounded and centered as your feet connect with the sand on the cave floor. Take in the full-sensory glory and wonder of Ra’s hand-hewn expression of universal beauty. Experience the silence of this still space, or create sacred sound within the chamber with voice, drum or our collection of crystal singing bowls.
Caves have long been sites of profound initiation and recognition of our deepest and most primal selves, our point of creation. This hand-carved spiritual hermitage will lead you on a powerful journey to your essential self. By percolating deep emotionality and possibility into your awareness, this space will effortlessly cause synchronistic resonance within the core of your being.
The cave experience.
At Origin, you have the opportunity to meditate, chant or experience sound healing in this harbinger of connectedness and metamorphosis. For those wanting to invite chtonic explorations, this space will serve as your catalyst and antidote. Some may simply wish to enjoy the magnetic allure of this desert sanctuary as a work of art.
The graceful and sweeping sculpted high ceilings of each chamber juxtapose the expansive views from the 20 foot glass windows. Notice how the natural light streams in to illuminate the intricate detail and beauty of the natural chairs and benches and altars throughout. Gaze into the mirrored “pools” to see your true nature.
Follow the meanderings of sacred sound as it winds a serpentine path through the cochlear folds of sandstone. Feel the reverberations of new beginnings and change.
